Launched in 2025, DynaSpheres’ Prime and Elemental series aim to offer an alternative between the more expensive professional phenolic resin ball sets (such as the Pro Series Platinum TV, Rhodium, Tungsten, Vanadium) and low-cost polyester balls, which do not provide the same level of playability. The new DynaPhex resin is designed to solve the price–playability equation.
This new resin, developed exclusively by DynaSpheres, is unique in that it contains a low percentage of phenolic resin. This technical achievement has the advantage of reducing manufacturing costs while maintaining excellent durability.
Why is the player’s cue ball the only one made of phenolic resin?
The Dynaphex resin used for the object balls is designed to withstand the impacts from the cue ball, which remains made of phenolic resin. Entry-level polyester balls would not endure these impacts and would break upon contact with the much harder phenolic resin. This is the main advantage of DynaSpheres’ Prime series: it offers players the same high-end feel as premium sets, with the best mechanical properties for the cue ball, while lowering the purchase cost compared to traditional phenoli
